Society has advanced in many respects, but romance still seems like a concept well-rooted in the 16th Century, having been reduced to mere flowers, restaurants, music, sunsets, and chocolate.
This book explores the concept of romance and suggests creative ideas for gifts that are truly romantic. The aim of these suggestions is to surprise that someone special, and enjoy observing their reaction upon discovering the gift.
The author has carried out each of these ideas and includes photographs of each of them.
These are the book’s chapters and some sample ideas:
Walls, ceilings and love
Trace a path around the house with red wool yarn. Your loved one will have to follow its path to find the gift.
Eat my love
Write tasty messages using the food in your fridge as giant letters. You’ll have to mold the food into shape.
Alphabet and letter love
Write a phrase on a piece of cardboard, cut it out like a comic strip bubble, and hold it over you. Smile.
I love you with my whole body
Make yourself a T-shirt with the classic "I Love NY" design. Change the city’s name to your significant other’s: "I Love Sandra"
Streetlove
Use Photoshop to design a false magazine cover with your sweetie’s picture. Leave it at her local newsstand (ask the newsagent to help make sure she’ll find it).
Pure different love
Write a message and hide it behind the living room curtains. Complain about the light coming in and ask her to open the curtains... ta-da!
