Ingenious novelty piggy banks are the latest trend on the Japanese market, but this moneybox is especially adorable. Whenever you put a coin in it, a little kitty cat peeks out of the cardboard box and sticks its paw out to try to grab it.

The cardboard box is actually made of plastic, but it has a very realistic design, like those boxes used to deliver fruit or instant noodles to shops, which are, sadly, often used to abandon pets.
