Sun Tattoos: get a different one every season

If you love tattoos but hate the pain involved or you think you might regret it, try getting a sun tattoo, you only need the sun and your own melanin

Sun tattoos: the latest trend
Sun tattoos: the latest trend
Tattoos are definitely in, very trendy, and they get more and more fashionable, specially since the past few years. And they’re really very cool, but the painful side of the experience and the fact that they last forever, are good reasons for many people to forget the idea of getting a tattoo. Henna, used by some cultures, could be a good alternative, because it’s temporal, but it’s also a little bit messy.

Would you get a better idea of how big we’re talking if you knew that the city spreads over 6,340.5 square kilometres? You don’t think that’s big? Have you ever been to London?, well, London’s metropolitan area is around 1,577.3 square kilometres big, so now think 5 times bigger than that.

A scale model of the city might help you getting a better idea of it, and you can see a very large one on the third floor of Shanghai’s Urban Planning Museum.

Chindogu: The Art Of The Unuseless

A chindogu is an unusual gadget, originally created as the solution to a particular problem, although effectively it hardly has any utility whatsoever, it’s really almost useless. The world has always been full of these gadgets...

The allergic kit: all-day tissue dispenser & eye drop application glasses
The allergic kit: all-day tissue dispenser & eye drop application glasses
You surely have wondered more than once if those absurd gadgets that the Japanese love so much, really exist. You might have seen some of them on the internet: the all-day tissue dispenser (a toilet roll fixed to a hat for people with hay fever), the ultra-quick nail polish or the solar powered lighter. Well, they do exist, you can find them out there and they’re called chindogus, but for a gadget or an object to be considered a chindogu, there’s a set of regulations that define their philosophy, and amongst the vital tenets for chindogus we learn that a chindogu cannot have a real use and that chindogus are not for sale.

A Pete Doherty Gig Banned by Police

The Police ordered festival organisers to stop any appearance from the Babyshambles, for security reasons... they say band could incite disorder

Pete Doherty of The Babyshambles.
Pete Doherty of The Babyshambles.
The findings presented by the police of Wiltshire county, England, obliged to cancel the Moonfest Festival set to take place on August 29-31.

The arguments were directly focused on security.

Irrepressible

The police stated that the stewards licensed to work at Moonfest would have been inadequate to cope with a public disorder situation that they believe the Babyshambles would gee up.

A feature article at The Guardian newspaper contains some literal worlds of the Police claiming to have carried out in-depth analysis on the music that Pete Doherty and his band made and they’ve came to this conclusion:

Ill-Intentioned

" Deliberately speed up and then slow down the music and create a whirlpool effect in the crowd " This Whirlpool "gees up the crowd and they end up fighting".

The festival organisers have showed their surprise for this banning coming at this stage, as they got a requested license six months ago and now they need to announce the cancellation of the whole event.

Play for free somewhere else

They are holding a hospitality party, strictly by RSVP invitation only with some great bands playing, and they are looking for a date at the end of September for a free gig of the Babyshambles for all ticket purchasers.

Doherty has offered himself, as stated by the Moonfest people, to play for free "at their own garage if necessary" to make up for all their fans.

It all happened in a not very busy regional road in Nancy, northeast of France, at three in the morning last July 25th, when the gendarmes noticed a car slowly zigzagging along.

The owner of the car, a 52-year-old photographer and friend of the blind driver, stated that he was acting as co-pilot with one hand holding the handbrake and the other on the steering wheel.
