What do Obama, Superman, Doraemon, and a Ninja Turtle have in common? Each of them has its own template at Cubee Craft, a website dedicated to giving these templates away to all its users.
Chose your favorite model, print it, and follow instructions to create a geometric paper figure. In a few hours, you can have the President of the United States in your hands and play with him at will. Obama seems to be a favorite, as it’s the only doll on Cubee Craft with its own special section, presumably because of the success in the number of downloads. Obama-mania is unstoppable!
You can also download other templates of pop culture icons such as Spiderman, Peter Griffin (the dad on "Family Guy"), or characters from South Park, Mario Bros, and Hello Kitty. These can be yours with a little patience and crafting skills.
This website also serves as a platform to launch new designers of three-dimensional paper dolls. A different designer is highlighted every week, with a special section dedicated to that designer’s work.
Special mention should be made of the paper toys at Marshall Alexander is a Dutch illustrator and graphic designer who creates dolls that are very much influenced by videogames, plastic toys, and comics from when he was growing up in the 70’s and 80’s. He specializes in three-dimensional toys made from a single folded sheet of paper. Among his templates (which you can download for free, though he also accepts donations), you can find Rubik’s cube eating robots, interesting three-dimensional action heroes, and some cute Commodores.
Can’t wait? Download them now at their website
