Some weeks ago, we mentioned Toast-it, a toaster that prints messages on toasted bread. The toast-it is a great invention and we love the idea, although it’s still only a prototype, so it’ll be a while before we can leave our family toasted messages in the morning.
Or, maybe not...While surfing the web, we found a site that is dedicated exclusively to selling toasters that will print messages, drawings, and illustrations on bread. The site is called Pop Art Toaster, and it’s responsible for several eccentric toasters.
For instance, they’ve launched a red model with Christmas motifs for this holiday season. We predict that it’ll be a great success. Is there anything more exciting for a child than eating food with drawings stamped on it? Can you imagine your child’s face when he sees Santa Clause on his toast? He’ll be speechless.
So, how do they work? Each toaster has one or more templates with cutout letters and drawings on them, and when the toaster heats up it prints these drawings or phrases on the bread.
Although it may seem like a great invention for kids, the fact is most of the models are targeted at adults. Some print drawings from series such as Battlestar Galactica, others will print your company’s logo (a great Christmas gift for employees), and still others write messages such as “Adults Only” or “I’m Hot”.
And that’s not all. The site has also invented some markers you can use to write on toast. They come in different colors and, of course, they’re edible.
Can you imagine how much fun you could’ve had as a child if your parents had let you play with your food?
