Gun O’Clock, shoot it to shut it off
You’ll look forward to having it go off every morning so you can shoot at it from your bed and stop its infernal noise. When the alarm goes off, a tiny shooting target unfolds that you’ll have to hit from your bed with a pistol so the alarm will stop ringing. Repeat this several times, until you finally decide to get up and turn it off. If you want to have a closer look at how it works, we recommend you visit the web site. It’s made by Asovision / Bandai and, as usual, they’re promoting the product with a very illustrative video animation.
Plant Alarm Clock, it grows with you and at your rhythm
Aside from being beautiful, this alarm clock is also a pot with a little plant that feeds off artificial lighting. Jason Kline, its designer intended this combination to establish a connection between the plant caretaker’s life and the plant’s growth. The LED bulbs light up each morning when you shut off the alarm clock and start your day. The plant’s day starts at the same time and ends when you go to sleep and shut off the lights. A plant that grows with you thanks to the alarm clock.
Retro TV Alarm Clock, wakes you up to TV game show tunes
It looks like a red retro-style TV, but it’s actually an alarm clock that weighs less than two pounds. It’ll wake you up each morning with tunes from TV’s most famous programs and game shows (American shows, of course). It comes with a remote, so you can change channels from bed, and you’ll hear a buzz in the background just like you used to get on old TV sets.
USB Blender Clock, wake up to the sound of a blender
Set the alarm and this blender will wake you up with a relaxing sound. Relaxing? Well, yeah, because it’s not a real blender like those that make a deafening noise, it has no blades inside, just a motor that whirls some plastic balls around. The sound it makes is probably more like the sound of the rain than what comes out of the kitchen when your mom’s making a smoothie. Instead of a plug, it has a USB cable, so you can take it to the office, connect it to your computer and take a little catnap.
Hanging Alarm Clock, hang it on the ceiling and stretch to turn it off
With this alarm clock, you’ll be forced to stretch in the morning if you don’t want to be late for work. Hang it on the ceiling, above the bed, and set it for the following morning. You’ll wake up to the theme from Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and in order to turn it off, you’ll have to stand on the bed to reach it. Each time you hit snooze, the cable will retract 30 cm towards the ceiling and so on until… it rings again a minute later. Damn it! It’s that damned song again! Yes, but it made you get up and even get some exercise.
Clocky, the crazy alarm clock that hides in your room
This alarm clock has wheels on its edges so it can run away from you. If you wake up the minute it goes off, there’s no problem. But, if you’re the kind that oversleeps, Clocky will get pissed off and jump off your night stand, it’ll drag itself around your room and even negotiate obstacles such as dirty socks until, finally, it’ll hide. And all this while emitting an R2D2 style angry beep. You choose, either get up as soon as it goes off, or spend 10 minutes looking for it around your room.
Aurora Luminous Alarm Clock, changes color every hour
Compared to the previous alarm clocks, this one seems fairly simple, but its cube shaped color-changing design makes it an original alarm clock. There are 12 different colors, the alarm clock changes color every hour. You can program it to wake you up with a light show every morning. You can also use it as a decorative accessory; you’ll stare at it dumbfounded.
