A plush toy could be super useful. For instance, you can use it to sit down on. It is not that odd to find a chair made out of the same material that has been used for teddies. So soft and cuddly!
Among the many chair designs in the market, there exist some made of stuffed toys, aimed for the little ones in the house or for eccentrics lovers. It strikes our attention an original design by Brazilian brother artists Fernando and Humberto Campana. They have stuck lots of stuffed teddies on metal base seats so that a compilation of panda bears, crocodiles, sharks and various animals join together and form an easy chair. Will they be comfortable? They are selling for 75,000 dollars!
Much cheaper and useful too are plush toys hiding USB memory sticks in their bellies. These are the plush toys of the new era! Your best friends carries now your most precious files. There are lots of different types. The one in the picture serves both as key-ring and stand for your mobile phone or iPod. Headless and plugged in your computer he looks very cute.
Japanese designer Takanori Shibata succeeded to take advantage of plush toys. He’s invented a seal plush robot which responds to movement, voice, touch and light helping patients suffering from Alzheimer, elderly dementia and autism. You can watch a demonstration here. Some twenty scientific studies back up the benefits of this therapy robot which is being sold in Japan for 3000€, however price will be lowering in the future.
