Playmobil has marketed over 600 different characters, but we all have our list of characters we would like to turn into a click. You’ve got two options: contacting Playmobil and suggesting them new themes –hoping they like your idea; or making your own little toys, i.e. embarking yourself on customization. Just imagine that you could make your own 7.5 cm alter ego!
A Click is made up of several pieces. Maybe you only need to take apart a few clicks and exchange bits & pieces to make your own character. Browsing the internet you can find multiple tutorials to learn how to harmlessly assemble and take Clicks to pieces. Here you have quite a fun odd one to watch.
It might take more than exchanging pieces to make your favourite character. No problem, you can paint existing pieces at your whim adding all necessary features. Again, the web is a sure resource for explanations on paints you need to use and how to do it. Don’t forget you can paint the accessories too!
For those bolder ones, you could manufacture your own pieces. You can use any material such as resins, modelling clay, kitchen foil, card, felt, cotton... Search the net for guide and tips to make your unique Clicks.
For instance, if you have an all dressed in white nurse, you can turn him into an angel by making him some little wings with cardboard and cotton. Yes, we are aware that was an easy one, but we don’t want to overwhelm you.
There are real customization artists out there. Look for them in Internet
And for advanced students, watch the movies filmed by some Clicks fans. Have you ever imagined these versions of the American Civil War 1862 or the Roman Empire? Playmobil versions of classic stories all produced by great experts.
Combining those methods and putting in lots of creativity and patience, you might end by beating Playmobil (ha, ha, ha.) And, if you do not believe my words, check this Astronaut Click turned into a USB thumb drive with USB plug.
