From the makers of Clocky comes Tocky, a rowdy alarm clock with a built-in microphone now available for your nightstand. Tocky is the ultimate solution to oversleeping, and it’s sure to help you start the day off on the right foot.
Tocky is more than just an alarm clock, it’s more like a sort of pet. You’ll soon get used to the sight of it rolling around on the floor underneath your furniture. And you won’t have to worry about Tocky getting hurt, because its protective silicone casing will prevent damage in case it falls off the nightstand.
The alarm clock is perfect for people who hate being woken up by those annoying electronic beeps, because Tocky allows you to record your own voice messages or insert your favorite music.
All you have to do is connect Tocky to your computer and transfer whatever file you’d like to choose as the sound for your alarm. We recommend you take the following steps:
- Connect the device to your PC using the USB cable included in the box. Once it’s connected, you’ll see an icon appear on “My PC” like the one for an External Hard Drive or Flash Drive. The icon will be labeled E, F, G, etc., depending on how many external devices are connected to your computer at that precise moment.
- Once you’ve located Tocky on your PC, just drag and drop your songs from one file to another. For instance, you may have to drag and drop files from “My Music” to “G”. It’s quick and easy, just like transferring files from your PC to a pen drive. Keep in mind that Tocky has 100MB storage capacity, which means you can easily transfer some 30 songs.
- Once you’re done transferring songs, it’s time to disconnect the device from your PC. We recommend you always use the "Remove Hardware Safely" option before pulling the cable out.
- Now you just have to set Tocky up to suit your preference. To do so, just push the multipurpose button underneath the alarm clock (just bellow the grey circle). This will allow you to access the menu and, from there, you can change the time, set the time for your next alarm, change the tone for your alarm, record any sort of tone you want and set the volume. And you can also choose whether you want Tocky to start rolling when the alarm goes off or if, on the contrary, you prefer that it stay still and simply ring like a normal, more traditional alarm clock.
