On This Day is a very original calendar. This unique one-of-a-kind object is oblong in shape and heat sensitive. When you open it, you’ll see that each square corresponds to a day of the year, that’s why it’s got 12 rows of squares (one for each month).
Initially, the text on each calendar day is hidden, so all you’ll see are black squares. But when you press your finger on a given day, the black starts turning grey and then finally completely white. Now you can easily read the text (in English), with information about some historical event that occurred years ago.
That way you’ll not only keep track of what day it is, you’ll also learn things so you can tell everyone at the office what happened on a day such as today, you’ll become a veritable walking diary!
Another great thing about On This Day is that it’s a perpetual calendar, so you can use it any year because it doesn’t include the day of the week and each month has all the corresponding days. You can write the year on the upper right-hand corner if you want to keep track of it.
Plus the packaging is also quite interesting. The calendar is laminated and comes rolled up inside a sturdy cardboard tube that protects it from damage.
And as if that weren’t enough, remember you can also make your own notes by writing on the calendar with a permanent marker on one of the sides of the square. There’s not much room to write on, so you’ll have to keep it brief, like "Dentist 15:00" or "Carol’s Birthday".
Heat sensitive.
