Walkman MP3 Player
This MP3 looks like a Walkman. It's hot pink and comes with all the buttons found on the legendary portable cassette player. You'll feel like you're back in the 1980's. |

A few months back, we published an article in our blog about a curious experiment the BBC had carried out on the Walkman. A reminder: A 13-year old boy was asked to trade in his MP3 player and use an old-fashioned Walkman instead for one week. The boy's conclusions were rather enlightening. Among other things, he mentioned that the tape sometimes got stuck, that the device was too heavy, that it had poor sound quality... and we agree with all these points but, who wouldn't be thrilled to have a new Walkman in their hands? What would you give to listen to those radio mixes you used to make on that old cassette player again? To feel like you're the coolest kid on the block because you've just bought a radio Walkman?
Well, you won't be able to do any of this with this colorful 1980's style Walkman, but you can use it as a time machine and relive the old days every time you use it to download your music. This is actually a regular MP3 player, only it's designed to look like a state-of-the-art Walkman (judging from its size, since it's actually fairly slim). The device has a memory card slot and a USB port. It could possibly be the best birthday gift ever for any friend over 30.
