Soap Flakes is a little bathroom accessory that grinds bars of soap into tiny soap flakes you can use to wash your hands.
Convenient dispenser for bars of soap
A lot of people prefer to use traditional bars of soap to wash their hands or bathe. But this type of soap has its inconveniences: soap dishes end up looking filthy, and bars of soap are slippery and tend to softens when they come in contact with water.... Since we seem to value comfort above all, this traditional cosmetic product has lost ground in the market as its substitute, bottled liquid soap, has gained popularity.
Nathalie Stämpfli has taken it upon herself to put bars of soap back in the spotlight where they rightfully belong. She's designed this absolutely brilliant soap dispenser. It's basically a grinder that fits on your bathroom wall: the bar of soap goes on top and underneath there's a little lever. When you press the lever, soap flakes fall right into the palm of your hand. It's that simple!
Stämpfli has also designed a soap grinder you can use in the bathtub, it's a sort of clear plastic capsule that works pretty much like a pepper mill. Where can we buy this amazing gadget? It's not out on the market yet, but we're hoping it'll soon be available in every home accessory shop in the country!
