Coffee lovers in generally (and Starbucks Coffee fans in particular) now have a new gadget to add to their list of favorites. This designer umbrella was created for Ek Design studio by Korean designer Jung-Woo Lee, whose work has received an Accent of Design Award for combining expressive design with functional products.
The Cup Umbrella is an enormous somber black umbrella with a special detail at the base of the handle: a built-in cup holder like the ones on armrests at the movie theater. The product's presentation photos feature an enormous Starbucks coffee cup, although, of course, the cup holder is adapted to fit different size cups.
We all know how uncomfortable it is to walk around carrying an umbrella. But if you also have an uncontrollable urge to drink coffee, that means you need to use both hands. If your mobile phone rings, you're done for! Thanks to this invention, now you can at least leave one free hand so you can smoke, answer the phone, or eat a donut to accompany that gigantic coffee you're carrying around on the street.
