Midori: a mobile phone charger whit leaves

This mobile phone charger is shaped like a full-growing plant and it’ll fill any cold and uninviting space with the warmth of nature.

You’ll never have to wonder where you left your mobile phone

You’ll never have to wonder where you left your mobile phone It’ll be the most colorful item in your drawer full of cables You’ll never leave it at the office again Created by Japanese designer Shunsuke Umiyama Ideal for moms who try to use the camera charger to charge their mobile phones Even the adaptor is green
Some things just aren’t meant to stand out. Chargers are a perfect example: black, white or grey, they always seem to be in the way. Is there anything less inviting than a table full of connection cables? They are probably one of the less carefully designed objects in existence.

Nevertheless, we’re surrounded by chargers: we all have a drawer full of them. They also have the very poetic function of making other objects work, which should be reason enough to take special care in designing them.

Japanese industrial designer Shunsuke Umiyama, has decided to transform a simple electric cable into an object that’s full of life. He’s created Midori, a beautiful mobile phone charger that looks like a growing vine. The plants in your garden would no doubt love to be as green and lush and carry electricity as gracefully as Midori does.

This Japanese designer’s creations are revolutionary, cutting edge, with a touch of humor that will make you smile when you see it.

This mobile phone charger will turn your living room, nightstand, or office into a cheerful, countrified place. You’ll suddenly notice how your mobile phone is everywhere; you’ll no longer need to wonder where you left the charger. Just one look at this electric plant is enough to make a cold and uninviting space more natural and festive. Not to mention how nice it’ll look in that drawer with all the other chargers... it’ll be the envy of the lot.
