Wouldn’t it be great if you could manage to save money and get a boyfriend? Ikemen Bank is a moneybox, but it’s not just any moneybox . Each time you put a coin in it, an exciting love story will unfold between you and your virtual boyfriend.

"Ikemen" means "good-looking guy" in Japanese, and that’s why this moneybox has a screen showing cute guys. There are 5 guys to choose from. Once you’ve saved up 50 thousand yen (0 / €375) you’ll be rewarded with a happy ending.

The cute guy on the moneybox will start flattering you each time you communicate with him: "You’re so beautiful", "You’re the best", "I want to caress you", "I want to kiss you"... Sometimes he’ll complain that he’s hungry, and you have to put a coin in to respond. If you don’t "get in touch" in 5 days, he’ll go away, leaving you a goodbye note. In this context, "getting in touch", means, "putting coins in".

The guys are very demanding as far as money’s concerned, but it’ll be cool to go on a trip or go out to a nice restaurant with the money you’ve saved with your guy, won’t it? And, you’ll be giving your self-esteem a boost while you save money!

The moneybox has been such a hit in Japan that they’ve come out with some digital books for cell phones and there’s also a movie featuring the moneybox ’s 5 cute characters.
