Just a few years ago, when most moms still made lunch for their kids to take to school, children used to carry their lunches in these heavy, totally impractical metal boxes... until, one fine day, Mr. Earl Tupper invented an hermetic bowl made out of polyethylene that would forever change the way lunches are packed. What we're talking about is, of course,Tupperware.
These plastic containers were a mayor hit thanks to the "Tupperware party" formula featuring live, at-home presentations in which the sales person would demonstrate all the advantages of the little plastic boxes. Tupperware also encouraged a lot of previously stay-at-home housewives to join the job market (who better to represent this product?). And, within just a few years, Tupperware completely dominated the market.
We owe a lot to Mr. Tupper. Thanks to him, we now have these magical boxes and thousands of designers have explored their options and created their own designs. The coolest new lunch boxes on the market is also an American design and it's called Goodbyn LunchBox.
