With CapHeads, a plastic bottle becomes something special. These mascots have heads made out of plastic bottle caps and they promote bottle recycling, more specifically classifying bottle caps and bottles, since these two elements are recycled separately.

You can carry them around with you and, when you buy a bottled drink, you can replace the cap with cap bearing one of the CapHeads dolls’ heads That way people will learn to recycle bottles.

The dolls are fun, very cute and very pop. You can carry them around on your key chain, or hang them on you handbag or on your mobile phone. Also, when you take the doll cap off, it makes a cute noise that imitates the sound made when you first open a bottle.

There are 4 standard dolls that come in white, pink, green and blue. There are also dolls designed by very well-known Japanese artists. They’re really cool. There are plans to come out with more designs by other artists working in different fields.

1% of this product’s sales are donated to GreenStyle, a foundation that combines environment and entertainment in order to promote fun recycling. They deal with the issue of recycling form a "cool and pop" perspective and CapHeads is exactly the sort of product they’re looking for.

With CapHeads bottle recycling will become more fun. You won’t just be an environmentally responsible person, you’ll also be very modern. Just be sure to take the doll cap off before you throw out the bottle!

Bandai will be launching this on the Japanese market on July 25th 2009.
