Bowlingual Voice’s functions
"If only my dog could talk..." Ever think that? Takara Tomy’s Bowlingual Voice has made your dream come true: it’s a simultaneous translator for dog barks.
This product first came out in 2002. The original model was a huge success with over 300,000 units sold. The 2009 version has the added novelty of incorporating a voice, an extra feature that was developed based on analyzing animals’ feelings. The device identifies dogs’ feelings such as fun, sadness, frustration... and expresses them in Japanese using sounds and on-screen text.
To begin using it, first you have to program the receiver’s basic information... and choose a mode for the dog barks’ simultaneous translation. Then you attach the device (microphone) to your dog and you’re ready to communicate with him using human language!
It’s a fantastic device for dog owners who want to understand their pets. But it seems some people feel discouraged after trying Bowlingual Voice because it turns out their dog had been complaining all the time...
